The Barbados Cheerleading Federation (the BCF) is a non-profit sports organization that governs cheerleading and cheer dance in Barbados. The BCF was founded in 2004 with the mission of growing cheerleading, educating coaches, and training the youth into becoming exceptional athletes. With over three hundred athletes, twenty coaches, and thousands of spectators cheerleading has become the grand spectacle of Barbadian culture.
The Barbados Cheerleading Federation was formed by Denise Bynoe. The BCF was recognised as the national governing body for the Sport of Cheerleading under the National Sports Council in that same year. In October 2009 the BCF was then recognised by the International Cheer Union (ICU) as the governing body for Sport of Cheerleading in representation of the nation of Barbados.
Since its founding the BCF has had over 400 athletes, annual National Competitions, and successful competitive teams bring home trophies from International & Regional Competitions.
